Celebrate First Fridays in Downtown Waxhaw

The Waxhaw First Friday Event is put on by the Small Town Main Street Promotions Committee.  The event occurs the first Friday of every month and provides an opportunity for Waxhaw’s downtown establishments to stay open later so more people can explore what local merchants have to offer. Each Friday is based around a theme and merchants host events that are tied to the planned theme; in addition they often feature special sales or provide refreshments to shoppers. The First Friday event has been growing in popularity. The Town of Waxhaw's Parks and Rec Advisory Board partners with the First Friday event to show their outdoor summer movie series throughout the summer. This is a great way to rediscover historic Downtown Waxhaw with activities for the whole family while supporting Waxhaw’s local economy.
